Achieving Consistent Pressure and Level Tamping

The spring-loaded mechanism ensures consistent pressure application, while the leveling plate guarantees a flat tamp every time. This eliminates guesswork and reduces the risk of channeling during extraction.

1. Fill your portafilter basket with freshly ground coffee.
2. Place the Normcore Tamper V4 directly on top of the coffee grounds in the portafilter. The leveling plate will rest on the rim of the filter basket.
3. Apply downward pressure on the tamper handle until the internal spring fully compresses, indicating the set pressure has been reached.
4. While applying pressure, gently turn the tamper clockwise to ensure an even and polished surface.
5. Release the pressure and lift the tamper straight up. The coffee puck should be perfectly level and compacted.
