The PANTUM BP5100DN is designed for fast, high-definition monochrome printing, featuring automatic duplex printing and network connectivity. It utilizes a separate drum and toner system for efficient operation.

5. Nastavenie

5.1 Vybalenie a umiestnenie

1. Vyberte tlačiareň z obalu.
2. Odstráňte z tlačiarne všetky ochranné pásky a baliaci materiál.
3. Place the printer on a sturdy, level surface with adequate space for ventilation and paper handling.

5.2 Installing Toner Cartridge and Drum Unit

The PANTUM BP5100DN uses a separate toner cartridge and drum unit. Install them as follows:

1. Otvorte predný kryt tlačiarne.
2. Carefully insert the drum unit into the printer until it clicks into place.
3. Insert the toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks securely.
4. Zatvorte predný kryt.

5.3 Pripojenie tlačiarne

6.1 Vkladanie papiera

The standard paper tray has a maximum input sheet capacity of 250 sheets. The multipurpose tray capacity is 60 sheets.

1. Otvorte zásobník papiera.

6.2 Základná tlač

2. Otvorte dokument, ktorý chcete vytlačiť, v počítači.

4. Choose the PANTUM BP5100DN from the list of available printers.

6.3 Duplex Printing (Automatic Two-Sided Printing)

The PANTUM BP5100DN supports automatic duplex printing.

2. Look for an option related to "Two-sided printing" or "Duplex printing".

7. Údržba

7.1 Výmena tonerovej kazety

Replace the toner cartridge when print quality degrades or the printer indicates low toner. Available toner cartridges and their approximate yields are:

• TL-5120: 3,000 pages
• TL-5120H: 6,000 pages
• TL-5120X: 15,000 pages

1. Otvorte predný kryt tlačiarne.
2. Remove the old toner cartridge from the drum unit.
3. Rozbaľte novú tonerovú kazetu a niekoľkokrát ju jemne horizontálne potraste.
4. Vložte novú tonerovú kazetu do jednotky valca, kým nezacvakne.

7.2 Výmena jednotky valca

The drum unit (DL-5120) has an approximate yield of 30,000 pages. Replace it when indicated by the printer or when print quality issues persist after toner replacement.

2. Remove the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the printer.
3. Separate the toner cartridge from the old drum unit.
4. Rozbaľte novú jednotku valca.
5. Insert the toner cartridge into the new drum unit.
6. Insert the new drum unit assembly into the printer until it clicks into place.

7.3 Čistenie tlačiarne

Pravidelné čistenie pomáha udržiavať kvalitu tlače a predlžuje životnosť tlačiarne.

• Vypnite tlačiareň a odpojte napájací kábel.
• Použite mäkkú handričku, ktorá nepúšťa vlákna dampvodou utrite vonkajší povrch tlačiarne.
• Nepoužívajte abrazívne čistiace prostriedky ani rozpúšťadlá.
• Gently wipe the paper path area to remove any dust or paper debris.

The printer's status indicator provides information about its current state:

8.2 Bežné problémy

• Tlačiareň nereaguje: Check power connection, USB/network cable, and ensure drivers are correctly installed. Restart both printer and computer.
• Zaseknutý papier: Open covers and carefully remove any jammed paper, following the printer's internal guides. Ensure paper is loaded correctly.
• Nízka kvalita tlače: Check toner level. If toner is sufficient, the drum unit might be nearing its end of life or require cleaning. Ensure correct paper type is selected in print settings.
